What Is a Spiritual Awakening?
To me, a spiritual awakening is nothing less than a homecoming to yourself. It’s the moment your inner voice (or, as I see it, your subconscious) says: It’s time to come home. You’re prompted to look deeper, see more clearly, and reshape your life from the inside out. Yes, this process can be uncomfortable—I’ve been there myself! It might feel like life is unraveling, but in truth, you’re rebuilding your world to reflect your truest self.
1. You Start Questioning Everything
The first sign you’re in the midst of waking up? You begin to question beliefs, choices, and paths you once automatically accepted. I remember my own profound shift when I left the fitness competition world for a holistic lifestyle. Suddenly, the things I ate, the products I used, even the clothes I wore all came under my scrutiny. Everything I thought I “knew” was up for reevaluation. Maybe for you, this plays out in relationships, family dynamics, or even the way you view your purpose. Once you start questioning one thing, it tends to cascade—leading to a beautiful, sometimes overwhelming, unraveling.
2. You Become Hyper-Aware of Your Thoughts and Patterns
The second sign is that you notice your thoughts and behaviors like never before. Where you once might have snapped in anger and moved on, you now pause and ask, “Wait, why did I just react that way”? This shift from autopilot to hyper-awareness is empowering! When you see your patterns, you can break them. Remember, awareness is the liberation that allows you to choose a new reality. It puts you (not your old programming) back in charge.
3. You Feel a Need to Realign Your Life and Relationships
Finally, the third sign: your relationships and environment no longer feel the same. Work, friendships, romantic relationships—they may suddenly seem toxic, stale, or simply not aligned with your new energy. You become less tolerant of negativity, gossip, and drama, and you crave peace, authenticity, and growth. Setting boundaries (or even closing doors) might feel challenging, but it’s a vital step in creating a life that feels true for you. If you feel called to realign, know this is normal—and it’s a sign of your growth.
Navigating Your Spiritual Awakening
So what can you do as you move through these signs of awakening? First, bring your subconscious into the equation. Your whole life, your subconscious has been quietly influencing your choices, patterns, and beliefs. To truly reset, start using subconscious tools—like guided meditations, self-hypnosis, or the subconscious activations I recommend. When you intentionally rewire at this level, you support yourself through transformation and step powerfully into the life you desire.
