I’m Gianna Badot, and today I want to share some life-changing insights from my episode “How to Totally Reinvent Yourself” on The Awakened Self Podcast. 1. You Are the Author of Your Life
I always remind my listeners (and myself!) that no matter what we are going through, we have the power to rewrite the story. Our circumstances may not always be in our control, but how we respond to them absolutely is. Recognizing this is the first—and maybe most liberating—step in claiming agency over your life.
Affirmation:
I am in charge of my reality. I am the author of my life.
You might feel a shift just by closing your eyes and repeating these words. This isn’t just new-age speak—it’s an essential reframing that puts you back in the driver’s seat.
2. Reframe Your Challenges
Life throws trauma, heartbreak, and pain our way. That’s part of the human experience. The magic happens when we stop asking, “Why me?” and instead ask, “What can I learn from this?” This perspective turns every hardship into valuable fuel for growth and healing.
Instead of letting past pain keep you stuck, use it as motivation to evolve and even help others down the road. This is what it truly means to reinvent yourself.
3. Move Beyond Focusing Only On the Problem
One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned (and share with clients) is to stop obsessively focusing on what isn’t working. While traditional talk therapy and self-help books can be valuable, healing often begins when you shift your attention from the problem to the life you desire.
A huge part of my own healing journey started when I chose to focus less on my past traumas and more on creating the future I wanted. This shift in attention was transformative.
4. The Power of Somatic and Subconscious Healing
Talking about our struggles is helpful—but our bodies and subconscious hold onto patterns until we actively release them. This is why I’m such a big believer in somatic healing techniques (like yoga, breathwork, and somatic release) paired with subconscious reprogramming through hypnotherapy.
This integrated approach allows us to finally break free from old loops and step into a new version of ourselves.
5. Get Clear on What You Want
If you want to reinvent your life, clarity is key. So many of us know what we don’t want, but have you truly defined what you do want?
Ask yourself:
- What does my ideal life look like?
- How do I want to feel?
- Who am I in that reality?
Write out a vivid script of your dream life. Get specific—not just about material things but about feelings, relationships, and your sense of self. The clearer your vision, the easier it is to wire into your subconscious.
6. Wire Your New Reality into Your Subconscious
To truly reinvent yourself, you must imprint this new vision deep within. The subconscious mind doesn’t change with wishful thinking alone; it changes when we consistently impress it with new beliefs and emotional states—often through self-hypnosis or guided subconscious meditations.
This is why I always recommend specific practices like guided meditations, breathwork, and self-hypnosis (you’ll find over 50 options in the Rewired Meditation Library, linked in the episode notes) to help you regulate your nervous system and reprogram limiting beliefs.
7. You Are Worthy and Capable
Above all else, remember: you are worthy, you are loved, and your awakening matters more than you might realize. Reinventing yourself isn’t about being someone else—it’s about stepping into the most aligned, awakened version of YOU.
