Why Goals Create Resistance

First and foremost, goals often create resistance. When you set a goal, you may feel a burst of motivation initially, but soon, you’ll likely encounter roadblocks and stress. This happens because goals are usually established with willful energy, which is action-oriented and deadline-driven. When something goes wrong, you feel the weight of unmet expectations, leading to burnout and potentially making you quit.

The Power of Intentions

Instead of setting goals, what if you set intentions? Intentions feel fundamentally different from goals because they emerge from an intuitive, higher-consciousness state of mind. When you set an intention, there’s no stressful timeline to adhere to. It’s about aligning your actions with a state of being that supports your vision effortlessly.

Imagine the shift from “I need to achieve $50,000 a month” to “I intend to create $50,000 a month.” The latter feels less burdensome and more attainable. Intentions allow you to focus not just on the actions but also on the energy and mindset needed to manifest your desires.
